Bei Prasat (10th century)
Bei Prasat, a small temple dedicated to Shiva, is is often overlooked by tourists as it stands immediately to the south and west of Angkor Thom's south gate, which commands much more attention. Bei Prasat is presently located adjacent to the Angkor Thom moat but it predates that monument by several hundred years. Constructed in the 10th century, it comprises three brick towers standing on a base measuring 10 x 25 meters. The design of the temple is reminiscent of Prasat Kravan, built at roughly the same time, though it has fewer towers. The temple was probably never completed as the lintel of the north tower was only roughly chiseled.
The monument was restored by the EFEO from 1960-70. In the immediate vicinity to the east are the ruins of several small shrines known as Thma Bay Kaek and Prasat Sak Kraop.

• ปราสาทเบย เบย มีความหมายว่า 3 ปราสาทเบยหมายถึงปราสาท 3 หลัง สร้างขึ้นจากอิฐโดยการนำเรียงกัน อยู่ในแนวเหนือ-ใต้ บนฐานมีขนาดกว้าง 10 เมตร ยาว 24 เมตร สันนิษฐานว่าปราสาทเบยนี้สร้างไม่เสร็จ จนกระทั่งได้รับการบูรณะจากฝรั่งเศสในปี พ.ศ. 1960
ภายในปรางค์ประธานมีแท่นศิวลึงค์ตั้งอยู่ ที่ทับหลังของปรางค์ประธานมีภาพสลักพระอินทร์ทรงช้างเอราวัณ การก่อสร้างปราสาทในสมัยก่อนยุคบายน คือสมัยบาปวน คลังบันทายสรี และนครวัด นิยมใช้อิฐมาสร้างเป็นปราสาท นักโบราณคดียังไม่เข้าใจว่าการสร้างปราสาทด้วยอิฐนั้นมีการใช้อิฐที่เผาแล้วมาเรียงก่อรูปขึ้น หรือใช้อิฐที่ยังไม่เผามาเรียงเมื่อก่อรูปทรงปราสาทแล้วจึงเผา แต่ส่วนใหญ่เชื่อว่าใช้อิฐที่เผาแล้วมาเรียงกันและใช้กาวยางจากส่วนผสมของวัสดุธรรมชาติหลายชนิด เช่นน้ำผึ้ง น้ำตาลโตนด จอมปลวก ฯลฯ มาเชื่อมต่อกัน ซึ่งอาจเป็นได้ เพราะหากนำอิฐที่ยังไม่เผามาก่อสร้างอาจทำให้ปราสาทยุบตัว หรือทำให้ปราสาทเอียงได้
• ปราสาทนี้ไม่ค่อยเป็นที่สนใจเที่ยวชม เพราะเป็นปราสาทเล็กๆ อยู่ริมถนนทางผ่านเข้าไปยังประตูเมืองพระนคทิศใต้ก่อนถึงปราสาทบายน
