Long Chau Temple (late 18th century? onward)
Long Chau temple, located on the south bank of the Perfume river, is a royal temple where the kings' war elephants were buried and worshipped. Locally it is known as "Dien Voi Re", the "Palace of the Crying Elephants". The site is located about 200 meters from an arena, Ho Quyen, where elephants and tigers dueled to the death, with the tigers declawed so that the elephants would win every time. The site is not well maintained and is in need of conservation.

01.Voi Re Temple was located on 2.000m2 of are which is in the Southeast of Tho Cuong Hill. Surrounding is brick-wall.

04.Long Chau Temple is in the central of Voi Re Palace. Two sides are Dong Phoi Palace and Tay Phoi Palace in which worship the solidiers in the war of Nguyen Dynasty

06.nside of the temple was decorated with wood. There is a sign on which was written the name of this temple.
07.In front of Dong Phoi Temple and Tay Phoi Temple are elephants's temple.
08.Elephant statue in the temple.
09.This is the place where elephants often drink water before fighting.
10.The legend states that the elephant was painful because of it's master. It run a long way from battlefield to Phu Xuan. Then it shouted and died.
11.People intered the elephant and then Gia Long emperor built Long Chau temple next to the elephant's tomd.
