Hai Nam Assembly Hall (built 1851 onward)
This assembly hall was constructed in 1875 (or 1883) in homage to 108 merchants killed at sea. They had been mistaken as pirates by Vietnamese naval forces during the reign of Emperor Tu Duc. After the mistake became apparent, Tu Duc punished the responsible officers and ordered this hall built, along with similar halls in other areas (including Danang).
